These terms concern the Vector Bible websites, web app, and iOS/Android apps provided by Franz Josef Drexler, Silberbach 38, 4230 Pregarten, Austria. Contact [email protected] or +43 681 208 87 501. See the Imprint.
These are service terms. Mandatory consumer, privacy, copyright, and other legal rights remain unaffected. The Privacy Policy explains data processing; these terms do not substitute for separately required privacy consent.
Vector Bible offers Bible reading/navigation, search, bookmarks, notes, and reading-position synchronization. The current service is free; these terms create no subscription and authorize no charge. Your network provider may charge for connectivity. Any future paid offering would require separate clear pricing and agreement.
Reading and search do not require an account. An optional account enables synchronization. Use an email address you control, protect your device/sign-in information, and do not share login codes or access someone else’s account without permission. Minors should involve a parent/guardian where applicable law requires it. This does not override feature-specific age restrictions or authorize access contrary to a provider’s conditions.
Translations and other third-party content retain their respective copyrights and licenses. Check the relevant translation’s credits/publisher information before copying, distributing, publishing, or commercially reusing text. An app copy/share feature does not grant a general republication license.
Availability may vary by country, platform, app version, and publisher permission. Updated mobile versions use the device’s configured region. In particular, HFA and SCHL2000 may be unavailable for USA or Canada regions; these restrictions can change independently. Availability does not establish your right to redistribute a text. Do not bypass access restrictions to obtain protected content without authorization.
These terms do not limit rights in public-domain material, rights granted directly by a publisher, or statutory exceptions such as permitted quotation or fair use/fair dealing where applicable. Preserve legally required attribution and copyright notices.
You retain rights in your notes and other content. You give us only the permission necessary to store, process, transmit, and display it for requested features, including synchronization and necessary backups. This is not permission to publish private notes or use them for advertising or model training. The Privacy Policy describes retention/deletion.
Use the service lawfully. Do not interfere with security/availability, attempt unauthorized account/data access, distribute malicious code, impersonate others, or extract/distribute protected content contrary to applicable rights. Provide only content and personal information you are entitled to provide. Activities protected by applicable law, including lawful interoperability and security research, remain protected.
Intelligent search uses AI embeddings to locate passages by meaning. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Check the passage and context. Search is not an authoritative interpretation or medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Queries may be processed by Google and our search infrastructure as described in the Privacy Policy; avoid unnecessary personal/sensitive information.
Maintenance, faults, networks, and publisher decisions can affect access. Features/translations may change or be withdrawn for reasonable technical, security, or licensing reasons, subject to applicable notice requirements and legal remedies. Keep your own copy of important notes; this does not reduce our legal obligations.
Third-party websites, sharing destinations, and app stores have their own terms. For iOS, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app license where no custom app EULA applies. These service terms do not replace that license or make Apple responsible for operating Vector Bible. Google Play distribution is subject to its applicable store terms.
You may stop using the service at any time. Delete individual records in the app or request account deletion using Delete account in the app’s account settings or the web deletion page. A confirmed request schedules permanent deletion after seven days; you can cancel before the displayed deadline. The account remains usable during that window, and signing in does not cancel the request. After the deadline, deletion normally completes within an hour; failed processing is retried. Deleted account data cannot be recovered. Contact [email protected] for help. Signing out/uninstalling does not delete synchronized data; see the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, a material breach, security threats, or legal/licensing duties. Where lawful and reasonably possible, we explain the reason and offer a contact route to challenge errors. Urgent protective action may precede notice. Your privacy rights and mandatory remedies remain unaffected.
We do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free search. Guarantees/remedies required by law remain unaffected. Nothing here excludes or limits liability where unlawful, including for intent, gross negligence, personal injury, fraud, or breaches of mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise applicable law determines responsibility. These terms impose no blanket consumer indemnity, fixed damages cap, mandatory arbitration, or class-action waiver.
We may revise these terms for service or legal changes, identify the updated version, and give reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable. Changes requiring agreement cannot be imposed merely by changing this page; accrued rights are not removed retroactively. You can stop using the affected service if you do not agree to a proposed change.
Austrian law applies subject to any mandatory protections applicable to you, including those of your habitual residence where relevant. Consumers are not required to bring claims exclusively in Austria or waive competent courts, regulators, or mandatory remedies. You may contact us for help resolving a concern, but doing so is not a condition on exercising legal rights.
